Book ordering and sale for association members

Whenever any member of the association may order any book from the following internet bookshops:

Van Haren Publishing (prices in EUR €)
itSMF UK Bookshop (prices in GBP £)
ISO Store (prices in CHF)
TSO Online Bookshop (prices in GBP)

Which of above mentioned bookshops is concerned?
- in each bookshop you can order either hardcopy or PDF publications
- itSMF CZ does not provide any technical/user support concerning usage of PDF publications; if you experience any problems when using PDF publications you have to report them directly to respective booksho
- due to licence restrictions, itSMF CZ is not allowed to order for you publications in other electronic formats like eBook and Online Subscriptions
Ordered book(s) identification, namely:
- Full title of the publication according to bookshop’s web pages including language version as well as format (PDF or hardcopy)
- Sales price
- ISBN
- Web link to the publication in internet bookshop, if appropriate
- Number of pieces
- If you are ordering book in PDF format you have to state also:
  - Name, surname and e-mail of the person who will own the publication
  - If you order the PDF publication from ISO Store, the person must be a member of itSMF CZ; in case of other 3 bookshops, the person can be any employee of the member‘s organisation
Invoice data, especially:
- registered place of business
- company registration number (IČ)
- contact person
Way of delivery whereas possibilities are as follows:
- Pick up in person at the registered place of business of association
- Via Czech Post (within the territory of the Czech Republic only)

All received orders will be processed by the Office of Association once a month in following mode:

Within every last weekend in a month a binding order to foreign supplier will be sent. In order to be sure that your order will be involved in a package sent in the actual month you are asked to place your order no later then last Friday in the current month.
After books delivery to register place of business of the association an invoice in CZK to customer/requester will be issued, whereas:
- An invoice will be sent to the customer/requester via e-mail immediately
- Date maturity of an invoice will be 14 calendar days from issue date
- Customer/requester will be invoiced by clear sale price of publication(s) only, i.e. including possible discount offered by bookshop and including VAT if it is applied:
  - VAT rate is different at each bookshop and, furthermore, VAT is also different for hardcopy and for PDF publications
  - We are not able to find out the actual VAT rate in advance, because except of TSO Online Bookshop the other bookshops do not state this information on their web pages. In the table bellow you can see some VAT rate data, but these cannot be taken for granted because they are based only on our own experience
- Amount in foreign currency will be converted into CZK using the same rate that will be used by a bank when debiting our bank account
- Postage and packaging costs from abroad to the Czech Republic and consequently within the Czech Republic (when a customer requests delivery via Czech Post) are refunded by financial resources of the Association. This rule does not apply to Global Members – these members are obliged to pay full postage and packaging costs.
- Should a customer do not pick-up a parcel in person but asks for sending it as a parcel via Czech Post (delivery possibility selection see above) then the parcel will be sent approx. within a week, but at longest till two weeks after the delivery of a parcel to registered place of business of association.
- The Association is not a payer of VAT, i.e. VAT is not specified on an invoice at all. A customer/requester have to take in account that there won’t be possible to him/her to apply the VAT deduction.

Finally some auxiliary information:

Office of the Association can neither influence nor guarantee delivery period because there is no written contract between itSMF Czech Republic and any of bookshops mentioned above.
In some cases will be more advantageous to buy the same title in one bookshop another time in the other one, namely due to floating change rate between CZK and GBP or Euro respectively. A customer/requester has to make the judgement, i.e. office will always buy what will be ordered and won’t investigate if it is more advantageous to buy it in the other bookshop.
Every person interested in publications from above mentioned bookshops has, of course, a possibility to order titles individually instead of through the Office of the Association:
- In such case it is needed to register in selected bookshop as a new buyer.
- If you specify during the registration you are a itSMF member, the bookshop (except of ISO Store) should ask a contact person in itSMF CZ if it is so, and in case of positive confirmation to invoice you for prices with discount for itSMF members
- The above mentioned benefit could not be guaranteed due to non-existence of any written contract among itSMF CZ and the bookshops.

Officially declared delivery period to the CR 7 – 9 working days. By our experience it is true.	Delivery period to CR is not officially declared.
